Thule Roof Cargo Carrier Review - 2015 Volkswagen Passat- Video
Today on our 2015 Volkswagen Passat, we're test fitting the Thule Canyon roof-mounted cargo basket. It's 49 inches long by 40 inches wide, and has a capacity to hold up to 150 pounds. It also has the depth of 6 inches. With the weight capacity, you want to make sure check your owner's manual before you load up your cargo basket too much. The part number for that is TH859. Now we do already have 3 of our 4 feet down and connected. We're just gonna show you this back driver's side one because it is the same way. more

SportRack Roof Cargo Carrier Review - 2015 Volkswagen Passat- Video
Today on our 2015 Volkswagen Passat, we're test-fitting the SportRack Vista roof-mounted cargo basket. Part number for that is SR9035. It's dimensions are 44 inches by 39-1/8 inches, and it has the capacity to hold up to 110 pounds. Now, you do want to check your owner's manual and make sure that your vehicle can hold that much weight on its roof. We do have three of our four feet connected and down. We're just going to show you this back driver's side one. more

Thule MOAB Roof Top Cargo Basket Review - 2013 Volkswagen Passat- Video
Today on our 2013 Volkswagen Passat, we'll be test fitting the Thule Moab, also known as the "Mother of all Baskets," part number TH690XT. Now with the roof rack system already assembled onto our vehicle, we'll begin our test fit by placing the cargo basket onto the vehicle's cross bars. For today's demonstration, we'll make sure the basket is centered onto the vehicle's cross bars. Note, this basket does not have to be centered, as you can carry other roof rack accessories as well as the basket at the same time. One our cargo basket is centered onto the vehicle, we can loosen up the brackets to bring the black bracket on the underside of the vehicle's cross bars. We'll then thread the bolt through the brackets and use the gray wing nuts to tighten it down to secure the cargo basket to the vehicle. more

Yakima LoadWarrior Roof Cargo Basket Review - 2013 Volkswagen Passat- Video
Today on our 2013 Volkswagen Passat well be test fitting the Yakima Loadwarrior roof rack cargo basket, part number Y07070. To begin our test fit you may need to adjust the underside of the brackets to make sure that they fit the crossbar spread of the roof rack system. This is important to ensure a good solid fit to the crossbars. Well go ahead and hoist the basket on top of the crossbars, again to make sure and check that the brackets line up for the crossbar spread. Well swing the brackets around the underside of the crossbar and use the bolt and wing nut to tighten and bound and secure it in place. It is important to get the basket centered onto the vehicle to prevent excess wind noise and to get a secure fit onto the crossbars. more

Today on our 2012 Volkswagen Passat, well be test fitting the Thule Mother of All Baskets Rooftop Cargo Carrier, part number TH690. To begin our test fit, well set the carrier on top of the crossbars and place it evenly on the crossbars. Well then swing the brackets on the bottom side of the crossbar and tighten them down with the wingnuts. Once we have all four of the brackets were ready to load up our basket. That completes todays test fit of the Thule Mother of All Baskets Rooftop Cargo Carrier, part number TH690 on our 2012 Volkswagen Passat. . more
